Theological approach
Scripture at the center. Jesus in view. Ordinary faithfulness in practice.
Between the Stories is a broadly orthodox Christian project. It is designed to help people attend to Scripture and follow Jesus in the ordinary places of life—not to settle every theological question.
Reflections begin with a real biblical passage and aim to distinguish what the text says from a practical response to it. When a passage is quoted, its translation is named. When context matters, we encourage reading the chapter itself.
What we affirm
- God is Creator, and Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
- Jesus died and rose again, and salvation is received by grace through faith.
- Scripture is authoritative and is best read with care for its context.
- The Holy Spirit forms believers in prayer, repentance, holiness, love, and faithful service.
- The Christian life is lived in the hope of resurrection and in love for God and neighbor.
Where Christians differ
Faithful Christians do not agree on every secondary matter, including baptism, communion, spiritual gifts, church governance, end-times timelines, and questions of theological emphasis. We do not treat one tradition's answer to these matters as the only faithful one. This is a companion to Scripture, prayer, and life in a local church—not a replacement for them.
